About CHAT
CHAT (Churches Housing Action Team) was founded by Christians who were concerned by the large number of people experiencing housing difficulty in Mid Devon. We believe that everybody is entitled to decent, secure and permanent housing – somewhere to call home.

We give free, impartial and confidential Housing Advice in person or over the phone and our advisers can act on your behalf where necessary.
With the free support from our Tenancy Support workers we can support you to keep your home and move on with your life.
We house and support young people in our Youth Housing Project houses in Tiverton, including a mother and baby house.

Youth Housing Project
Dealing with youth homelessness . A Youth Project partnership between Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) and Westcountry Housing Association (WHA). This project works with homeless vulnerable young people aged between 16 & 17 by providing supported accommodation and teaching independent living skills to lead productive lives.
