What's Involved

If you want to help people with their debt and money worries we can provide the training and tools to help you do that.

You will be part of a team working with clients, offering quality debt and budgeting advice.

We understand that sometimes situations change, but due to the cost of training and the amount of time needed to be proficient at the role, we ask for a minimum commitment of approximately 6 hours a week for a year.

What's Involved

Our foodbank and pantry help to provide essential food and support. This role involves chatting to the clients about their needs and packing emergency food parcels, or helping them select their food (pantry). This role can involve some lifting and restocking the food to keep the Food@CHAT area a safe and ordered environment.

Our Foodbank is open on weekday mornings and our Pantry open on weekday mornings, Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.

In order to be familiar with the processes involved we ask for a minimum commitment of two sessions a month.

What's Involved

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in an engaging and decision-making role in a local charity.

The charity is governed by a Board of Non-Executive Trustees who meet on a regular basis to provide strategic direction, over-site, and governance of the work of the charity. Please get in touch for an informal discussion via the volunteer now button below.

CHAT will provide full training for the role, induction as well as ongoing support. In return you will be contributing to a great cause, putting your skills to use and have the opportunity to learn new things.

Sometimes our clients need a helping hand alongside the work they are doing with the advisors. Supporting clients with form filling, digital access to their bank accounts, decluttering, budget coaching or energy advice are just some examples but maybe you have other ideas so please contact us to discuss.
